- Batch embed album art into Mp3 files So yes, I have a ton of albums and each folder has a folder.jpg for the cover art, but I`m bored and want to play with the itunes cover art browser and it seems to only pick up album art when it is embedded, so I am looking for something that can take the folder.jpg in a folder and embed it into every mp3 in.
- If the album art still appears for an mp3 file or album, that could be coming from the pictures embedded into the mp3 file, and you need an ID3 tag editor to remove them. There are several freeware products available; I used Mp3tag. Browse and locate the mp3 file.

Batch Embed Album Art Into Mp3 Files
How to Embed Album Art in MP3, AAC and other Audio Files
If you have an iPod, Windows Mobile Smartphone, iPhone or just about any other portable music player, you’ve undoubtedly seen a generic music note icon displayed when cover art is not available for the current song. This may matter to you about as much as the number of molecules in a drop of water, but if you’re like me, that blank icon really annoys the heck out of you.
Even if it shows up in music software like iTunes, cover art isn’t necessarily embedded in your audio file. So, if you take that file and play it in other software, or on another computer, smartphone, MP3 player, etc., you’ll get the aforementioned music note. What you want is album art that lives inside the audio file itself.
Annoyed as I am by this, I’ve found a couple of useful solutions for embedding album art in your audio files.
Embed Artwork + GimmeSomeTune (Mac)
If you use a Mac, the free Embed Artwork AppleScript from Doug Adams forces iTunes to embed artwork in the audio file itself rather than storing it in a separate file. This works whether you add the album art manually, use iTune’s built-in Get Album Artwork feature or run another fantastic piece of software called GimmieSomeTune.
Embed Picture In Mp3
GimmieSomeTune automatically downloads album art and lyrics for songs as they are played. If Embed Artwork is also doing it’s thing, the album art will be embedded in the audio file as GimmieSomeTune fetches it from the Web.
Embed Artwork and GimmeSomeTune are each provided as freeware, but if you find them useful, please consider making a donation to their respective authors.
Mp3tag (Windows)
Embed Album Art In Mp3
Mp3tag grabs music information and album art and embeds the art in the audio file’s tag. I have not found a way for Mp3tag to do batch processes for album art, so (as far as I know), you must do each file one by one, or at least album by album. This isn’t as seamless as the Mac solution, but it’s a hell of a lot better than not being able to do it at all.
